I am loved.

I recently wrapped up a school year's worth of service in my church's youth group. I have been serving in the college group since I graduated from college but spent a year with the youth to provide some stability and programming. Now that they have Captain at the helm, I'm moving back to be with the college kids. They've been providing me with a send-off undeserved by the short amount of time that I've put in with them.

This post is a big hug and thanks to everyone for every ounce of love y'all have been pouring into me. It's more than I ever deserved and I am so touched and grateful for all of this love. 'Tis the grace of God, indeed.

Elephant put together this book for me on Blurb. It's a book full of pictures and notes from the kids. So perfectly put together and perfect for me.

Nods made me this adorable photo cube with a sweet note and a photo of us. Thanks Nods!! I can't wait to hear about what happens on your trip!

A group of gals made me this heart to remind me that they puffy heart me foreva. ;)

Captain and his wife topped it off with a fabulous book and gift card to nordies. Wheeee!!!

A bazillion for the cards, notes, and skits!

We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Project Revisited

I loved Project Runway. I love Tim Gunn. I don't know why they stopped doing the show. I have no clue why they replaced it with The Fashion Show. I've only seen it once or twice and I don't understand the difference. America gets to vote? Please explain. Do you watch/love it?

Project Runway made me want to learn how to sew. I have visions of myself whipping up clothes for myself and Louie. How amazing would that be?! You may remember me ranting on about the same vision over a year ago. But yesterday brought this dream a step closer to reality. Mama MOH gave me a sewing machine!!! She bought it awhile ago at Target but later realized that it was nearly identical to the machine she already owned. Since Target does not take returns after 90 days, she decided to give it to me!! YAY!!!!

This has given my summer renewed purpose. I spotted these sewing patterns and am super duper excited.

They even have patterns called Sewing Patterns for Dummies. I can manage that, right?

If you have any tips for a newby on a sewing machine or instructional books to recommend, holla at me. Big ups to Mama MOH!

Name this dress!

Check out the dress of the girl on the right of the bride. That patchwork one. When I first saw this dress in person, I DIED.

I have not stopped thinking about it. Do you know who designed it? I think it was D&G but I'm not sure. I've been googling for ages and nada. Not that I could ever afford it but I just want to know. Of course it helped that the girl wearing the dress is absolutely gorgeous. (All of the Turkish people are this wedding were gorgeous. Must be something in the water over there.)

And the bride's dress is pretty awesome too. The entire day, beautiful Turkish people floated in fanciful dresses. Really awesome.
