EZEase and KPop: Engagement Lunch

EZEase is K's BFF and he recently proposed to the girl of his dreams, KPop.
He asked me to set up a lunch at their neighborhood park to set the site for his proposal and post-proposal celebratory lunch. It was a fabulous way to share in such a special day and - of course - to set a pretty table.

Inspired by Jordan of Oh Happy Day and the Queen of outdoor parties (just check out this one), I wanted a casual but a table worthy of the special occasion. I didn't actually get any pictures of the table completely finished or every detail, but you get the idea:

Everything was thrown together with a mix of stuff I had from home and some new purchases to tie everything together. The "tablecloth" is a painter's drop cloth from OSH and the runner is a roll of kraft paper overlayed with ribbons from Michael's.

The letters are from JoAnns (we were obviously anticipating a positive result from the proposal) and they're attached to a pretty butcher board that K and I received for our wedding topped with a spread from - where else? - Costco! The vases were a set of glasses I found at the Goodwill for $1/glass and flowers were also from Costco.

The plates were the jumping off point for the whole table. I saw a set of them at HomeGoods and literally squealed! Place cards were made with cardstock and a pretty label from Paper Source.

I covered some books in kraft paper just to personalize the table. Ribbon from Joann's.

Do you love it? I think they did. Their fabulous wedding set for next year is already well in the works and I'm super excited to see how that turns out.

Thank you to Woo-Z for the photos and KPop's BFFs for helping out!!
